Our Mission & Vision

Open Bible Banner WidgetThe mission of the Peninsula Prayer Ministry was established to renew God’s Word within our community through an evangelical ministry.  Our vision is to strengthen God’s Kingdom through prayer, encouragement and support.

The Peninsula Prayer Ministry  is in agreement with the National Evangelical Association Statement of Faith as listed below:

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
  • We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Acts 2:42
And they continued steadfastly in the Apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and  in prayers.

LEADERSHIP TEAM

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

Gene

Gene Graddon, Leadership Council

I believe I was led to the Key Peninsula through the Holy Spirit.  The spirit renewed my longing for the Lord’s work twenty years ago when I met my wife Bonnie as we blended our two families.  I have lived  on the KP for ten years and have been a member of Lakebay Covenant Church for nine years.

As I am not a passive person, I have been led to many challenge opportunities at LCCC.  First was the calling of our current pastor and serving as a member of the governing board for several years.  My term ended in 2012, I continue to serve on the worship (greeting) and building and maintenance teams.  One of my true passions is working with the youth and I have done so for some seven years.

I also assist my wife and Harvest Share, a food and clothing outreach ministry.  Serving the needs of our youth is one of my true passions.  My gifts are serving others thru prayer other ministries.  I believe my gifts lie in service to others through prayer and physical attributes in assisting others.  I joined corporate prayer shortly after its inception and I believe as author Hallesby, in his book ‘Prayer’, that “we should enter into this work of prayer and become personal and regular   interceders for individuals”.
